Esmaeir Baghihai, a spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said the attacks occurred on Friday on International QUDS Day, with global expressions of disgust in the occupation of Palestinian Israeli regime and genocide.
He said the “criminal” movements of the occupation regime blatantly violated the integrity of Lebanon’s territory and national sovereignty, Presstv reported.
Baghaei said the UN and the guarantor of the ceasefire agreement are directly responsible for the strike.
Senior Iranian diplomats have urged the international community to take swift and effective measures to counter the Israeli regime’s attacks, stopping repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement.
He noted that the Israeli regime proposed a “completely unfounded, unfounded” pretext to justify the invasion of Lebanon.
“The international community must implement a decisive strategy to combat the ongoing violations of laws by regional occupation regimes, from Gaza to Lebanon to Syria.
Israel launched an attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday. This was the first major bombing as the war between the occupying regime and Hezbollah ended in November.
The United Nations special coordinator for Lebanon Janine Hennis Pluschart said the exchange of the fire across the borders of Lebanon and the occupied territories on Friday was “deeply concerned.”
Israel also took on a fatal strike in southern Lebanon on Friday.
After enduring massive losses over almost 14 months of conflict and failing to achieve its objectives in the attack on Lebanon, Israel had no choice but to agree to a ceasefire with Hezbollah. The ceasefire was implemented on November 27th.
Since the start of the agreement, occupying forces have been attacking Lebanon, violating ceasefires, including airstrikes across the Arab state.
