On Saturday, Iran’s embassy spokesman Beanam Malekpur described Israel as the root cause of all problems in West Asia, citing the regime’s aggression and expansionist policies.
The response follows George Dick’s claim at a press conference in Baku that Iran has weakened after the Israeli War and that the world, including the Middle East and the South Caucasus, is now safer.
Iranian diplomats responded by referring to the Israeli regime’s aggressive actions against Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and other countries in the region.
“Israel is the biggest threat to global peace, and the serious lack of international action to contain this injustice will lead to widespread anxiety around the world,” he warned.
Marekpur also called for immediate action to stop Gaza’s genocide and punish Zionist criminals for inhumane siege and deprivation of innocent Palestinians of food and water.
“It is no surprise that a government, founded on the basis of taking away Palestine’s historic land, killing and expelling its former inhabitants, and fascinating neighboring countries with fear and war, is shamelessly trying to own discord between Muslim nations,” he said.
The diplomat continued saying that the hateful remarks of the Israeli envoy did not undermine the historical ties between Iran and Azerbaijan.
“The bond of affection and friendship between the Iranian people and the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan is too strong to be weakened by the genocide and the malice of representatives of the racist regime,” he added.
