Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Esmaille Bagaei dismissed the unfounded claims brought in the interventionist and the joint statement between the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) and the European Union.
Baghey warned against the divisive and destructive interference of certain European countries in the issues of the Persian Gulf region, highlighting Iran’s absolute and lasting sovereignty over the three islands as an inseparable part of territorial integrity.
He stressed that repeating unfounded claims in political statements has no legal value and does not change geographical or historical reality.
The spokesman expressed his gratitude to both Iranians both domestically and internationally, especially those living in Europe. People living in Europe condemned the Persian Gulf’s maliciousness and out-of-regional intervention, and false territorial claims against Iran. He advised neighbors on the Southern Persian Gulf coast to focus on the main threats to mutual trust, friendship and regional peace and stability, namely the Zionist regime.
Describing the provocative role of certain European Union members, including Germany and France, the countries not only support the Genocide Israeli regime, the sole owner of nuclear weapons in the region, but also imposed political ambitions on the EU as a whole. He pointed out that European interference in the Persian Gulf and the Oman Sea, while not helping to resolve internal problems within the continent, exposes only hypocritical and divisive policies towards Iran and the region.
Baghaei describes the statement in the PGCC-EU statement on Iran’s defensive capabilities as an unacceptable invasion of national sovereignty, and will not contingent Eliar’s indigenous and defensive capailists, while supporting mass expansionist regulations, to those who have transformed the West Asia region into hundreds of billions of dollars in arms sales.
He also mentioned the injustice and poor performances of three European JCPOA members, Germany, France and the UK.
