He spoke at a ceremony held in Tehran on Sunday to commemorate Iranian medical staff who treated Hezbollah troops injured in an electronic device (pager) explosion in September 2024, and announced the revolution in the missile industry. He emphasized the progress of the defense forces.
Salami pointed out that Iranian medical staff demonstrated their dignity, sacrifice and dedication in an unprecedented event in the past 50 years.
Furthermore, he referred to the global coronavirus pandemic and pointed out that Iranian doctors and medical staff exposed themselves to the risk of the disease with the utmost courage during this period.
The Supreme Commander of the Revolutionary Guards pointed out that the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Seyyed Ali Khamenei, always emphasized the need to avoid harm to civilians in the Revolutionary Guards’ missile operations against hostile targets.
The general said that Khamenei urged civilians not to be harmed in a missile operation carried out by the Revolutionary Guards against Takfir terrorist bases in Syria in 2018.
With the use of weapons of mass destruction and similar pager explosions, the criminal Zionists tried to wage psychological warfare in Lebanon, Maj. Gen. Salami said elsewhere.
General Salami said that with the help of artificial intelligence, the Revolutionary Guards managed to realize the latest technology to avoid harming innocent people when hitting targets.
On September 18, 2024, the Zionist regime carried out a cyberterrorist attack detonating communication devices known as pagers in multiple regions of Lebanon, resulting in numerous deaths and over 2,000 injuries.
Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Mojtaba Amani was one of the victims of the pager explosion in Beirut.
