A Foreign Ministry spokesperson strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s attacks on the Palestinian refugee camp in the city of Sidon and Ain al-Hilweh camp in Sidon. In this attack, the regime targeted a mosque and a gymnasium compound, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of numerous Palestinian refugees.
The spokesperson said these brutal attacks were a serious violation of the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law. He pointed to the Zionist regime’s repeated violations of the November 2025 ceasefire and noted that the United States has an obligation to take action to stop the regime’s continued aggression and crimes against Lebanon and other regional countries.
He condemned the acquiescence of ceasefire guarantors, especially the United States, in the face of the occupation regime’s continued breach of commitments and military aggression against Lebanon, and called for serious action by the United Nations and the international community to halt the regime’s crimes and hold perpetrators accountable and prosecuted.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson also expressed condolences to the families of the martyrs who were victims of the invasion and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
Mr. Baghai further emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran stands in full solidarity with the Lebanese government, people and resistance forces.
