Esmail Baghaei, a spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, strongly condemned the continued attacks and crimes committed by the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip. He sought the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, immunity for Israeli leaders, and ending their prosecution and punishment.
Baghey has accused the ongoing unprecedented crimes by the Israeli regime of unsuspecting Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, particularly brutal assaults at temporary shelters and medical centres in Gaza, for killing and wounding hundreds of people recently. He highlighted the direct responsibility of Israel’s military and political supporters, particularly the US and the UK.
He said that after obstructing mediators’ efforts for a ceasefire agreement, the occupation regime has intensified criminal attacks, imposed illegal demands and forced Gaza residents to be rid of them. He emphasized that such an attack would undoubtedly meet heroic resistance from the Palestinians.
Baghaei warned that the normalization of serious human rights and humanitarian violations in Gaza and the West Bank represents an irreversible disaster of the UN system and international law. He emphasized that all states have a legal and moral obligation to end genocide and to halt crimes against humanity and war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza and the West Bank, and encourage immediate and serious action.
