Iran has expressed solidarity with the Venezuelan people and the government in the face of US interventionist policies, a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry said on X on Friday evening.
“The interventional actions and rhetoric of US officials in the internal affairs of sovereign nations, including #venezuela, have undermined the UN Charter and the fundamental principles of international law by unprecedented, the ministry said in a post on its X account.
“Responsible countries cannot remain indifferent to this dangerous tendency to target the collective normative and ethical foundations of the United Nations.”
“Iran is in solidarity with the people and government of Venezuela’s Bolivar Republic and condemns Venezuela’s illegal intervention in domestic issues,” the statement concluded.
