It has been more than 45 years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. This is a revolution that led to the emergence of a stronger nation than before. In the first year after the revolution, Iraq’s Saddam Hussein’s Baasist regime began a full-scale war with Iran. The devastating explosion also insisted on the lives of around 70 senior officials, commanders and scientists.
Despite these huge losses, the country managed to continue its path. During the same war, Iran lost its president, Mohammad Ali Rajay and prime minister, Mohammad Javad Bahonar, to the bombing. One of the Iranian presidents abandoned the country during the war, fled to Paris, disguised his identity.
These events belong to chapters written 40 years ago. It is clear that Israel cannot withstand Iran’s missile capabilities today, in the face of regional tensions. Iran today is not only resilient, but also much stronger than the early days of the revolution.
