In a letter to IPU President Tulia Ackson, Manoochehr Mottaki called on the global organisation of the National Assembly to condemn the Israeli regime’s war of aggression against Iran.
He said the IPU is expected to clearly and firmly condemn Israel’s attacks in accordance with Article 2 (4) of the UN Charter.
Iranian officials also stressed the need for the Zionist regime to immediately suspend membership in the Israeli regime (KNESSET) due to a clear violation of union rules and regulations and the UN Charter.
Mottaki also urged that the issue of American invasion on Israeli and American sovereignty should place attacks as members of the IPU on the next IPU Congressional agenda.
He further demanded that the IPU adopt punitive and restrictive measures against the Israeli regime, its sponsors and accomplices.
Officials then underscored the IPU’s need to acknowledge Iran’s unfair right to self-defense against brutal Israeli strikes, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.
Mottaki ultimately warned that Israeli inaction and silence over crimes would be a violation of the fundamental principles of justice, democracy and government international responsibility, leading to normalisation of violence and law violations, and pose a threat to the sovereignty and independence of global sovereignty and democratic beings.
The Zionist regime fought a war of attack on Iran on June 13th. It carried out airstrikes on nuclear, military and residential sites in Iran, bringing martial arts to over 930 people, including top military commanders, nuclear scientists and civilians.
