Major General Mohammad Musabi, chief of staff in Iranian military, held a telephone conversation with former fielder syed Asim Munir of Pakistan’s Army Chiefs of Staff (COAS).
During the conversation, Musabi pointed out with concern over the recent increase in terrorist activity on both sides of the Iran-Pakistan border.
General Musabi stressed that Iran is ready to fully cooperate with Pakistan to eradicate terrorism, adding, “We hope that practical action will be taken against terrorist groups within this bilateral cooperation framework.”
While acknowledging past steps by Pakistan, he said these efforts must be expanded and existing shortcomings must be addressed.
