During a meeting with the UN Secretary General on Political and Peacebuilding Issues, Sayed Khatibzadeh, a bystander of the fourth Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Turkey on Saturday, stressed the urgent need for global groups to intervene in response to the looming humanitarian crisis of Pastinia Terra.
Khatibzadeh appealed to the UN and its Secretary-General to mobilize and apply pressure to all available resources to end the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, where Palestinians face genocide and halt escalating violence in the West Bank.
On her part, DiCarlo pointed to the UN’s measures to stop the bloody Israeli onslaught on Gaza, and organisations around the world vowed to double their efforts in this regard.
Israeli forces resumed the war of massacres in the Gaza Strip on March 18, killing hundreds, wounding thousands, and crushing a fragile two-month ceasefire deal with Palestinian resistance group Hamas.
At least 50,944 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and since October 7, 2023, 116,156 have been injured in the brutal Israeli onslaught in Gaza, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
Elsewhere, Khatibzadeh also strongly condemned the US threat of military attacks on Iran if Tehran did not sign a contract with Washington in its civilian nuclear program.
He emphasizes that such statements and threats are clearly inconsistent with the UN Charter, and the UN chief is expected to condemn these illegal statements.
The two sides also exchanged perspectives on Oman’s indirect consultations between Iran and the US on Saturday, discussing important regional and international developments, particularly on the relentless Israeli crimes in occupied Palestinian territory.
