He criticized certain European countries, including the UK and Germany, for misusing human rights mechanisms to put pressure on developing countries.
Baghaei accused the countries of leading the UN Human Rights Council anti-Iran resolutions, saying the resolution is legally invalid. He argued that the resolution was based on conclusions based on malicious, unfounded claims, generalization of the sweep, one or several suspected violations, inconsistencies, and undocumented allegations arising from anonymous sources.
Iranian diplomats said that records of UK, Germany, France, Canada and other two years of other sponsors and supporters on human rights violations in Britain, Germany, France, Canada and Western Asia, particularly Israeli crimes against the genocide in Gaza and the people of Syria and Lebanon, are not registered in human rights.
He explained that Britain is one of Israel’s biggest arms providers, and that its foreign minister believes it will take millions of deaths to prove genocide in Gaza. He criticized Germany as the second weapons provider to use in Gazan’s Israeli genocide, adding that the German foreign minister has openly given permission to slaughter innocent Palestinian women and children.
He reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s commitment to protecting human rights and freedoms in accordance with its constitution and law, as well as international instruments and agreements approved by the Iranian government. He emphasized that the Islamic Republic is the result of a general revolution and cannot escape efforts to discover and eliminate human rights abuses.
He highlighted Iran’s continued cooperation with the United Nations Human Rights Mechanism to promote global advancements in the sector.
Baghaei said certain countries, particularly Germany and the UK, would use the Human Rights Council as a tool to impose their own political ideas on other countries, damaging the council and disrupt the cooperation and synergy of countries to promote global advances in human rights.
