On Monday morning, on the occasion of the anniversary of the 13th of Abban, Islamic revolutionary leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei welcomed thousands of students at Imam Khomeini’s (RA) Husseinyeh.
Abban’s 13th anniversary (November 4th) is celebrated in Iran as “National Day to Fight Global Arrogance.” On this day, Iranian students hold a nationwide rally to reaffirm their commitment to the 1979 Islamic Revolution and the fight against Western hegemony represented by the United States and its allies.
The leader told the students that the conflicts and disputes between Iran and the United States are “not tactical but substantive.”
Khamenei pointed out that all previous US presidents have called for Iran’s surrender, and current President Donald Trump has also made that clear.
He stressed that “Americans sometimes say they want to cooperate with Iran. With America’s continued support for the cursed Zionist regime, the presence of American military bases, and interference in the region, cooperation with Iran is impossible.”
He went on to stress that the movement by Iranian students who occupied the US embassy months after the 1979 revolution marked a day of victory.
“The occupation of the U.S. Embassy by students revealed the true nature of the U.S. government,” he said.
🔺 The conflict between Iran and the US is fundamental, not tactical.
The leader said that while sanctions are causing problems for the country, “the only solution to solve many problems and give the country immunity is to become stronger.”
He further stated, “The government must do its own business strongly.”
