As reported by AFP, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut warned of European powers against a “conflict strategy” over Tehran’s nuclear program, according to comments posted weekly by week in France on Sunday.
“This conflict strategy risks a global nuclear proliferation crisis that affects Europeans primarily themselves,” Aragucci said in a comment released by France’s Weekly Le Point.
Aragut said he was ready to travel to Paris, Berlin and London.
He lamented the so-called “snapback” mechanism offered in the 2015 agreement known as the JCPOA, allowing Iran to revive UN sanctions if it fails to meet its commitments.
“Iran has made its position clear,” Araguchi said. Iran emphasized that “abusing the “snapback” mechanism warned global authority that it would not only bring about the end of Europe’s role in the agreement, but also the end of the escalation of tensions that could become irreversible, but also the consequences.
“E3 has to ask itself how it reached this impasse,” he said, referring to France, Germany and the UK.
“Instead of coordinating their strategies, they have adopted a conflicting stance, calling human rights and Iran’s legitimate ties with Russia as an excuse to diplomatically distance themselves.”
Comments were published when Iran and the US began their fourth round nuclear talk in Muscat.
