In a call with Omani Sultan Haisam bin Tariq on Monday afternoon, Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude for the Sultan’s solidarity and supportive attitude, emphasizing the importance of strengthening friendly relations and regional cooperation.
Referring to Oman’s constructive role in nuclear negotiations related to Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, Pezeshkian said recent efforts aim to build trust and increase transparency. He said during these talks the US had explicitly claimed that it had control over Israel and that Tel Aviv had insisted that it would not take action against Iran without US approval.
Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran has consistently declared harassment to produce nuclear weapons, reaffirming its strategic policies and preparations for technical oversight by the IAEA. However, Israel violated all international principles by launching a blatant attack on the Iranian state, bringing the martial arts of several scientists, commanders and civilians. He emphasized that such crimes would not have happened without the green light and support from the US administration.
The president added that Iranian enemies miscalculated the strength, capabilities and unity of the Iranian people. “They didn’t understand Iran and bombed the homes of military leaders, scientists and civilians, they thought that they could destabilise the country and we couldn’t respond. However, thanks to the leadership and the quick preparation of our troops, the enemy was hit on the same night and suffered a great loss,” he said. “As the aggression continues, there is a much more severe response awaits them.”
Pezeshkian reiterated Iran’s principled stance of avoiding war and bloodshed, highlighting the government’s continued efforts to build respect, brothers and cohesive relationships with its neighbors and Muslim countries.
He described the internal unity of the Iranian people as a great asset, saying recent hostile actions did not divide the country. Even people who are critical of the government are united with others defending their homeland, he said.
Warning of the consequences of the ongoing Israeli provocation, Pezeshkian argued that “if the US government cannot suppress this savage regime and prevent further regional unrest, Iran must inevitably issue a heavier and more painful response.”
He said the Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported dialogue based on justice, state rights and international principles, and has stated that negotiations are impossible under the shadow of threats, bullying and attacks. If this path continues, Iran will be firmly eager to defend its rights and expect support from its Muslim brothers, he said.
Pezeschkian pointed to the recent unity between Islamic countries as a clear sign of expanding global solidarity against Israeli attacks, and prayed that this unity would help strengthen peace, justice and human dignity in the region.
Sultan Haysam has expressed his sadness towards Iranian commander, scientist and civilian Martians, strongly condemned Israeli attacks, and affirmed Oman’s continued solidarity and support for Iran.
He also expressed concern over the enemy’s attempts to hamper the peace process in the region, reaffirming that Oman is still committed to rational diplomacy and cooperation between its brothers and the friendly country.
