Figures released on Tuesday by the Republic of Iran (IRICA) showed Iran’s foreign trade reached $5.79 billion with 10.756 million tonnes (MT) shipments through April 20th.
The numbers represent value and volume conditions of 3% and 12%, respectively, compared to the same month in 2024, Irica’s figures show.
Numbers that do not include Iran’s exports of crude oil, kerosene and mazut showed that Iran exported about $2.942 billion worth of goods and goods from late April to late April.
Imports to Iran reached $2.856 billion over the same period, a 2.3% decline from April 2024, Irica said.
Petrochemists said they accounted for 15% and 20% of Iran’s non-oil export volume in the first month of the current calendar year.
The numbers showed that liquefied propane, asphalt and liquefied butane were Iran’s top export operators over the period.
Iran earned an average of $328 from 1 MT export transport in April, up 0.47% from last April, but imported freight was worth an average of 1,587 per 1,587 in the same month, up 39% from the previous year.
Irika said Iran continued to import large shipments of gold bars in April, but that reached $583 million.
Iran recorded a trade deficit of $14.6 billion from calendar year until March 20 amid a massive surge in gold imports, reaching over $8 billion.
