Iran’s Customs Authority (Irika) figures indicate that Iran’s non-oil exports from late July to late July reached $16.549 billion, while imports into the country exceeded $1762.7 billion over the period.
The figures showed that exports from Iran fell 5.51%, while imports fell 14.2% between April and July, according to Press TV.
Overseas cargo recorded over the past four months increased 1.46% year-on-year to reach 48,811 million tonnes (MT), while imports fell 3.23% to 12.209 million MT.
Petrochemical Export, the best performer of Iran’s non-oil exports, generated hard currency revenue of $6.894 billion, down 10.22% compared to late July 2024 to four months.
The Iranian Customs Office recorded a trade deficit of $1.374 billion between late June and late June. That recent figure jumped to $4.894 billion or nearly 42% in July compared to quarterly figures, while imports rose over 459.8 billion, or more than 35% over the same period.
A senior government official said earlier this week that Iran’s non-oil trade suffered in June due to a 12-day war of aggression.
