According to Tehran Times, Soheila Mansoourian won the gold medal in the women’s 60 kg category in Sanda, defeating Egypt’s Habiba Ramadan Abdelaziz Elsayed Abu Omar 2-0.
Amirhossein Hemmati won Iran’s third gold medal by defeating Egypt’s Yousif Khalid Bashouni Mohamed Hamoda 2-0 in the men’s 60kg final.
In the men’s 70kg sanda, Erfan Moharami won the gold medal by defeating Kyrgyzstan’s Avrol Hakimov 2-0.
In the Sanda men’s 85kg category, Farbod Taleshi won the silver medal after losing to Egypt’s Al-Hussein Abdelkader Hassan Abdelkader Wahdan.
In the Sanda women’s 70kg category, Shaharbano Mansourian won the bronze medal after losing 2-0 to Egypt’s Menatara Mohamed Mohamed Hassan Ali.
The 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, known as Riyadh 2025, is an intercontinental multi-sport event organized by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA) and will be held from November 7th to 21st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The event brought together more than 3,000 athletes from 57 countries who competed in 25 sports in search of glory in one of the major multi-sport events in the Islamic world.
