Vahedi spoke on Sunday during a meeting with the air force commander at the air base in Shahid Habibi, northeastern city of Mashhad.
He said constant vigilance and prompt response are one of the most important principles of the Iranian Air Force, given the uncertainty of the region.
He added that his unit must maintain its continuous preparation and improve its capabilities, Press TV reported.
“Iliaf is ready to decisively defend the country’s airspace under any circumstances,” the Chief Commander emphasized.
Emphasizing the importance of utilizing the knowledge of the Indigenous Air Force knowledge, Vahedi said, “We are obliged to maintain the Iranian Air Force’s deterrent power at the highest level by relying on domestic expertise and knowledge.”
He noted that continuous maneuvering and professional training ensured operational readiness for Air Force pilots and engineers.
Iran has made great strides in increasing the self-sufficiency of its military, relying on domestic knowledge and expertise.
Following the directions of the leaders of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seiyed Ali Khamenei has emphasized that Iranian officials consistently do not hesitate to strengthen the country’s military capabilities.
