The foreign ministers of Iran and France reviewed developments in the West Asian region, the conflict in Ukraine, the international security situation, and Iran’s peaceful nuclear issue, and emphasized the need for responsible efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen international peace and justice.
The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between Iran and France and emphasized the importance of continuing consultations to remove obstacles and promote relations.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran referred to the unjust arrest of Iranian national Mahdiye Esfandiari, welcomed France’s decision to release her on parole, and called for speeding up the process of acquittal and release so that she can return to Iran.
