They made the remarks on Wednesday at a meeting on the sidelines of the 19th Interim Ministerial Conference of the Coordinating Agency of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Kampala, Uganda, Press TV reported.
Mr. Arraguchi and Mr. Gil Pinto specifically condemned the United States’ military invasion of Iran in June and repeated threats and attacks against Venezuelan interests.
The top diplomats also warned of the dangerous consequences of U.S. disregard for law when it comes to world peace and security, and reaffirmed the right of nations to protect themselves from coercion and unlawful bullying.
The Leaders further discussed regional and international developments, particularly in West Asia and the Caribbean, and stressed the importance of strengthening solidarity and cooperation between developing countries and NAM Member States in order to effectively confront challenges arising from unilateralism and violations of international law.
Both Iran and Venezuela are targets of hostile US policy.
From June 13 to June 24, Israel and the United States carried out deadly acts of aggression against Iran, which were halted after the Islamic Republic’s successful retaliatory operations.
On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump announced that he had authorized the CIA intelligence agency to carry out covert operations inside Venezuela and said he was considering conducting a ground attack in the country.
Shortly after President Trump’s offensive remarks, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro condemned the CIA’s role in various conflicts around the world.
“No to war in the Caribbean…No to regime change…No to a CIA-orchestrated coup,” he added. “How long will the CIA continue this coup? Latin America doesn’t want it, doesn’t need it, and rejects it.”
Recently, the Trump administration reportedly sent eight warships, a nuclear-powered submarine, and a fighter jet to the Caribbean to combat drug smuggling into the United States.
The U.S. military has carried out at least five deadly attacks against suspected drug traffickers off the coast of Venezuela.
