TEHRAN – The Iranian Army ground forces carried out a precision drone strike on strategic targets within Israeli territory at least once on Monday.
General Kiumars Haidari, commander of the Iranian military ground forces (Arteshes), confirmed the operation in a statement Monday, saying, “In response to the Zionist regime’s savage attack on Iran’s Islamic Republic, drone units deployed a destructive UAV system targeting deep targets of the occupying territories.”
General Haidari emphasized that drone units focus on “priority military targets,” but details remain classified. The operation marks a significant expansion of Iran’s retaliation campaign, which took place for the fourth day in a row on Monday.
Operation True Promise III was launched on Friday following an Israeli air attack that had marched senior IRGC commander, nuclear scientists and hundreds of civilians. The IRGC, along with the leaders of the Islamic Revolution, vowed to “open the gates of hell” in self-defense, Ayatollah declared Ali Khamenei: “The Iranian state will not overlook the blood of precious martyrs.”
The drone campaign, which effectively utilizes domestic Iranian drones such as the Arash UAV, complements Iran’s proven ballistic missile operations, which have been running at least eight strikes since Friday. The report confirms direct and destructive hits at high-value targets, including the Haifa oil refinery, the military industrial site at Haifa Port, and the Kiriya military headquarters in Tel Aviv.
