General Goudarji and his delegation arrived at Jinnah International Airport on Monday morning and were received by Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) officials in the presence of Iranian Consul General Akbar Eissa Zadeh and Iranian Attaché Colonel Mohammad Mohsen Shahabi.
A Border Security Force delegation is visiting Pakistan on the invitation of PMSA Director General Major General Shahzad Iqbal with a view to strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
The Iranian delegation will also participate as an observer in the 13th three-day search and rescue exercise called “Barracuda” organized by PMSA in the maritime and border security fields.
General Gowdarji will also meet Pakistani officials, including Major General Iqbal, on the sidelines of the exercise.
The 13th Barracuda exercise began on Tuesday in Pakistan’s territorial waters near the Karachi coast with the participation of 19 countries and will continue until Thursday.
