TEHRAN – Carlton University in Ottawa, Canada will host its “Iranian Film Night” program on Wednesday, screening seven short films by Iranian filmmakers.
The programme features a compelling selection of Iranian short films curated by Mohammad Hamzei and Foad Asadi, Mehr reported.
Iranian films scheduled for the event include Unjust, Dragon’s Tail, Said Keshavalz (2019), Dreamless Sleep by Ford Asady (2020), Lost Swan by Lost Swan (2022), Sireige and Farhad Delama (2022), Saeed Nejati (2019), and Mehrdad Hasani (2022). All movies are subtitles in English and admission is generally free.
The programme aims to showcase recent achievements in Iranian short films and provide international and Persian-speaking audiences with the opportunity to tackle diverse stories and experiences from Iranian filmmakers.
The event will provide Iranian cinema enthusiasts and film and cultural studies students and researchers to become familiar with new trends in Iranian filmmaking.
