According to Press TV, the plane belongs to the Qeshm Air.
The report says that when Airbus planes are returned to service, the Iranian Air Fleet’s aggressive capacity will increase by 1,200 seats per day.
The plane had been laid for three years due to US sanctions restricting access to Iranian spare parts and repair services.
However, sanctions have led Iran to expand its aircraft repair and maintenance programme, with recent reports even suggesting that Iranian companies are offering overhaul and inspection services to foreign airlines.
According to an IRNA report, engineers working for domestic companies have performed around 1,100 engineering tasks to overhaul the A300-600.
Qeshm Air announced in early 2023 that it had successfully returned the Airbus A320 to service after 11 years of grounding.
The airline also said it met the airworthiness directive issued by Airbus in January this year for the landing gear of one of the Airbus 300-600 planes grounded due to US sanctions.
Iranian aviation authorities said they had acquired the skills necessary to manufacture spare parts for engines for Boeing and Airbus Jet aircraft in the second half of 2024.
