Tehran – Reza Qavamipour, founder of an innovative education platform entitled “Garnet Academy,” has been awarded the BRICS and Shanghai Corporation Organization Young Leaders Award in the Social Solutions of the Year category.
The prestigious international award was held for the third time in Kazan, Russia from August 18th to 19th, and honored representatives from nine countries including Iran, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Russia.
Participants included “Science and Innovation: The Best Scientific and Innovative Project of the Year”, “Social Solutions: Social Solutions of the Year”, “International Cooperation”, “Annual Public Project”, “Environmental Issues: Annual Eco-Initiation”, “Annual Environmental Leader”: Annual Young Media Leadership.”
The award is organized by the Academy of Youth Diplomacy and has received strong support from the Republic of Tatarstan, Television BRICS and other international organizations from the Ministry of Youth Affairs. It offers a unique platform for young leaders to gain global recognition, connect with influential networks, and celebrated with meaningful contributions to society.
Using artificial intelligence (AI), the Garnet platform provides a personalized learning path for entrepreneurship and income generation by assessing the strengths of users, reported Mehr News Agency.
So far, 60,000 individuals have completed courses on the Garnet platform, and over 10,000 users have participated in lectures and workshops for free.
In February, Hosna Salimi, a student from the world department of Tehran University, was selected as the “Young Researcher” at the BRICS and SCO Young Leaders Award 2025, held from January 24-26 in Kazan, Russia.
More than 400 participants from 13 countries, including Iran, India, China, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Brazil, Ethiopia, Tajikistan and Russia, competed against each other.
The judges selected 10 winners with five nominations, including “Media Influencer of the Year,” “Social Entertainer of the Year,” “Diplomatic Project of the Year,” “Researcher of the Year,” and “Eco Innity of the Year.”
The candidate for the “Young Researcher of the Year” nomination is the author of scientific research in the fields of history, education, arts, information technology (IT), law, philosophy and finance.
The award aims to identify talented young people, to help young leaders from BRICS and SCO countries contribute to socially important regions, attract young people to cooperation, and to provide opportunities for self-realization in BRICS and SCO countries.
