Tehran – Shahid Beheshti University and Salento University in Italy have signed a memorandum to cultivate the relationship between science, research and education.
At a meeting held in Tehran on Saturday, Mahmoud Reza Reza Akhamiri, the prime minister of Shahid Beshti University, and Fabio Polise, the prime minister of Salento University, explored ways to expand scientific ties. They are also well versed in the capabilities of the two universities, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology reported.
Based on the signed MOU, the two universities will collaborate in several fields, such as promoting education, research and cultural advancement through holding joint education courses for undergraduate and graduate students in selected fields, and will collaborate in providing sabbatical leaves for faculty and doctoral degrees. At a meeting held between Andrea Precipe, the prime minister of the Rome-based university, and Mohammad-Reza Sabouri, Iranian ambassador to Rome, Italian officials said many Iranian students were studying at Luiss University. He expressed the university was ready to attract more Iranian students.
Saburi has presented Iran’s preparations to exchange professors and students with Lewis University, highlighting the country’s scientific and academic achievements and capabilities in a variety of fields, including economics, management, political science and international relations.
