“If the troops closely monitor the enemy’s movements and try to miscalculate and re-invade the sacred soil of our nation, they will face a more crushed response,” the commander of the Central Military Headquarters of Qatam Al-Ambya said on Wednesday.
The announcement is expected to begin the operational phase of the eqtedar (authority) 1404 (2025) missile exercise on Thursday.
Navy spokesman Abbas Hassani said the two-day missile movement will take place in the seas of the Omani Sea and the North Indian Ocean, including surface and underground vessels, air units, coastal to marine missile sites, submarine missile platforms and electronic warfare units.
Hassani added that the exercise will also incorporate missile launches, electronic warfare training and drone operations based on experience gained in previous exercises and established operational guidelines.
Pointing to military and missile systems, a naval spokesman emphasized that a wide range of precision cruise missiles, short range, medium and long range, are leveraged to target and destroy surface vessels.
According to the press conference, Hassani emphasized that the movement aims to strengthen combat readiness for the forces, increase public confidence, improve operational planning, command and control capabilities, and enhance deterrence based on domestic expertise.
