Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 4th World Military Archery Championship (CISM2025) organized by the Iranian Air Force at the Archery Federation, Admiral Sayyari emphasized the important role of physical fitness in maintaining combat readiness. “Sports are essential for human health. There can be no progress in a sick society. In the military, sports can guarantee the health of young people and protect the future of the country,” he said.
Admiral Sayari emphasized the importance of archery, saying, “Archery has a special charm. It is part of our country’s religious and traditional heritage. The legendary figure Arash the Archer symbolizes courage and heroism.”
He further emphasized that the Iranian military’s participation in the competition goes beyond winning medals. “We aim to showcase Iranian culture, heritage, Islamic and revolutionary values, and chivalry. We want other participating countries to realize that this is an ancient land rich in values,” he said.
Admiral Sayyari concluded by expressing his gratitude to the General Staff, Air Force and Archery Federation for hosting the event, praising their efforts to demonstrate Iran’s high status and traditions.
