Local Iranian media said Esmaeil Baghaei on Saturday that Iranian missiles have not been discussed in ongoing consultations with the US in Oman and that they will not be in the future.
Iran said dealings with the US would be out of reach if Oman-mediated consultations focused solely on nuclear issues and lifting sanctions.
“Foreign Minister Abbas Araguchi and his accompanying delegation have arrived in Muscat tomorrow morning for the third round of Iran and the US, mediated by Omani FM Al-Busadi,” Bhagihai wrote in a post on his X account last night.
“We are determined to secure the legitimate and legal rights of the nation to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, while taking reasonable steps to demonstrate that our program is completely peaceful,” he added.
“Ending illegal and inhumane sanctions in an objective and prompt way is a priority we are trying to achieve,” the spokesman said.
“We will see how serious and prepared the other side is for a fair and realistic deal,” he concluded his post.
