Tehran – Many Iranian musicians, singers and composers responded to the Zionist regime’s attacks on Tehran and several other Iranian cities on social media, condemning the brutal attacks, highlighting the same themes, highlighting unity, dignity, and the inviolability of Iranian soil.
In the early hours of June 13th, Israel launched a massive, unprovoked armed attack on Iran. This was a terrible act of attack by all definitions. Through the strikes of conditioned air, missiles and drone, it targeted residential areas, civil infrastructure, public agencies, and nuclear facilities that were subject to protection of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Electronic musician Shahin Entezami posted a strong message on social media. “My non-Iranian friend! Stop your silence now! Talk now, share the truth and show the world what’s going on in Iran. This time it’s again in my hometown. Target them, they bomb energy infrastructure, homes and innocent civilians.
This urgent appeal is reduced to the heart of the problem. Western accomplices allow destruction through distortion and omission. The “precision attack” story is not only misleading. It whitewashs the reality of the explosion near residential areas, damaged energy infrastructure, and the psychological sacrifices for millions of ordinary Iranians.
One of Iran’s most well-known traditional vocalists, Homayon Shajarian, posted an emotional letter along with a social media story in response to the attack.
“Perhaps the song can calm a grieving mother or give a quiet sigh in the soul of a tired father. This voice wants a whisper of peace in the cry,” the letter continued. “Remember: neither the flowers of soil will bloom from the blood, nor the sow of weapons will love them. May the song speak louder than bullets, and peace and calm belong to all the people of the world.”
Other well-known Iranian musicians have also expressed their anger and sadness on social media. Traditional singer and composer Ali Zand Vakili wrote: “Hometown, the essence of your sorrow flows from my eyes. I will provide myself for you. Your pain is mine. Hometown, hometown, hometown.”
Pop singer and record producer Mohsen Chavoshi declared in a brief post in Stark, “You’ll be crushed and crushed.”
These are more than just iconic gestures. They reflect broader sentiments from within Iran’s cultural sphere. Protecting the integrity of your hometown territory means transcending politics.
Musician, composer and songwriter Karen Homayonfa, composer and tar player Ali Gamsali, pop singer and songwriter Reza Sadegi, pop singer Masad Sadeguro, pop singer and songwriter Feredun Asrai, pop singer Alizade, pop singer, pop singer, pop singer Rizardun Alizade Jahanbakhsh, singer, musician and composer Reza Yazdani are other Iranian music artists who have responded to Zionist atrocities. They share a map of Iran, display its flags, and write messages of unity and resistance. Many of them have expressed a deep historical perception that Iran has long faced foreign attacks, and have expressed that resistance, whether it is the battlefield or the art world, is essential to survival.
