Tehran – Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Leza Leza Salehi Amiri says that through a strategic approach rooted in Iranian diplomacy, US-led projects must be effectively neutralised by highlighting Iran’s non-parallel and civilized heritage and distinguished place in human history.
In a television interview on Saturday night, Salehiamiri detailed the ministry’s programme, including transformative changes in tourism and the long-term and strategic plans for the preservation of Iran’s cultural heritage, highlighting the country’s progress in achieving global objectives, the IRNA reported.
Iran is more than just a land. It is a civilization woven into the heart of human history and shapes the cultural foundations around the world.
Regarding Iranphobia, he said the project must be effectively neutralised through a strategic approach rooted in cultural diplomacy.
Iran is expanding its diplomatic ties with various countries, prioritizing not only strengthening cultural ties but also promoting tourism, he added.
He highlighted diplomatic tours to Egypt, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey, and said the visits focused on strengthening cultural cooperation and advancement in the tourism sector.
Salehi-Amiri further pointed to the government and Congress’ support for tourism investors, saying that through tax and customs exemptions on investors, the government paved the way for tourism growth.
He also clarified the ministry’s goal of attracting 15 million tourists. This is the goal set by the 7th Development Plan.
The plan is being implemented through infrastructure upgrades, including duty-free imports of hotel supplies, he stressed.
Iran’s tourism potential, particularly in accommodation and hospitality services, is set to grow dramatically, he noted.
