Speaking to Press TV, Shahin Hazamy expressed support for Palestinian rights on social media, condemning Israel’s bombing in Lebanon, saying that French authorities stripped him of his journalistic tools and imposed a travel ban.
“I have no right to leave the country. I have to sign in once a week at the court or police station to prove my presence on French territory. My journalistic tools, such as my phone, camera, laptop, computer, etc., have been confiscated by the police even by my child’s tablet.
Hazamie is being criticised by accusations often used to silence those who support Palestinian causes, as well as terrorist activities and anti-Semitic police.
“Of course I will continue. Giving up means losing and despite arguments, genocide and crime, we will not lose in Palestine, Gaza or Lebanon. We continue to fight for justice and freedom,” he said.
According to Hazamie, security forces attacked his house and arrested him violently in front of his wife and two young children.
“Since the attack, my children have been afraid of the police. They wake up crying every night. The officers tried to blackmail us and hurt us. They attacked me in front of my 3-year-old son, who was sleeping next to me. They attacked my wife and thrust me hard into the wall.
