TEHRAN – The Iranian short film “Taj”, written, directed and produced by Mahdi Borjian, is being screened at the 38th Foyle Film Festival, which opens on Wednesday and runs until November 30 in Londonderry, North Island.
This 19-minute drama tells the story of Taj, a foreman working in a factory where a gold bracelet is stolen, and her husband Morteza. While searching for the thief, Taj realizes that it was Morteza who stole the bracelet to pay off a gambling debt. Now Taji faces a dilemma. Should she take revenge for all the mistreatment and mistreatment she received from Morteza by exposing him, or should she forgive him?
The short film, which was produced in 2025, has a cast that includes Fatemeh Neyshabouli, Morteza Kanjani, Shamila Tabesh, Fatemeh Hassani, Ali Bagheri, and Gholamreza Ramezani, Honalonline reported.
Foyle Film Festival offers a year-round program of feature films, workshops, short films, competition screenings, outreach, and special events.
Over the past 38 years, the festival has become renowned for attracting the industry’s top professionals to Londonderry. Past guests include Richard E.
