Tehran – Iranian students ranked fourth in the Turkey’s International Mathematics Olympics (TIMO) held in Antalya from April 17 to 22, winning two silver medals and two bronze medals.
TIMO is an international event held for students from 3rd to 12th grade. The competition will take place in two rounds, including the reserve round and the global round.
In the reserve round, more than 27,350 students from 35 countries competed online in December. The offline qualification exam included 25 multiple choice questions managed for 60 minutes.
In the paper-based global round, 1,500 selected participants participated in the event.

Timo is committed to the academic and personal development of young people at both local and international levels, encouraging discussions on young people’s mathematical and scientific topics, promoting the exchange of new ideas, and striving to unite those who bring about a common interest.
With the annual Olympiad, TIMO aims to set new educational standards and provide an environment where young people around the world can compete, thereby promoting understanding and respect between different cultures. These efforts contribute to the development of education and science on an international scale, and will lead to positive changes in the lives of young people.
Timo is held as part of the International Junior Mathematics Olympiad (IJMO), which is held annually in another country, and aims to provide a platform for students to interact and compete with valuable enemies.
