TEHRAN – Young Iranian inventors have won two gold medals and one silver medal at the 7th International Creative Papers Conference and Olympics (ICPC) in 2025.
The contest, sponsored by the Korea University Invention Association, was held from January 16th to 17th and attracted participants from 13 countries, including the United States, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, and China, Mehul News Agency reported.
Teams competed in different areas including mechatronics, artificial intelligence (AI), programming, electronics, chemistry and nanotechnology, biotechnology and cognitive science, new energy, physics, and astronomy.
Alireza Jafarnejad and Mehran Rajavi won the gold medal in the mechatronics category. In AI, Moaid Rajavi and Helena Rajavi won the gold medal. Taha Kanani and Mohammad Hossein Rahmani won silver medals in chemistry and nanotechnology.
ICPC is an academic event where researchers from around the world present their innovative research. The conference provides a platform for students and professionals to present creative and outstanding papers, be it invention papers, academic papers or other forms of research.
ICPC’s main objective is to foster the exchange and publication of outstanding papers by the world’s leading scholars who play a central role in science, technology, and the knowledge economy.
ICPC aims to lead in the convergence of scientific, technological and economic activity with environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles by promoting the publication of creative, independent research and learning papers. This international conference is an important academic event co-sponsored by WIIPA (World Invention and Intellectual Property Association) and various domestic and international universities and academic societies.

A student from Iran University of Science and Technology has won the 2024 Eurasian International Robotsport Association (FIRA) Open Competition.
