Tehran – CEO of the Islamic Republic of Iran (TACI) of the Tour and Automobile Club (TACI) emphasized that one of the duties assigned to TACI by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts is to hold Iran’s tourism and handicraft exhibitions overseas.
According to Irna, Mohammad Hossein Sufi said the mission is left to TACI to tackle Iranian phobia by introducing Iranian culture, history and civilization to the world and hosting tourism and handicraft exhibitions.
He also said facing Iranphobia is one of the important goals and serious priorities of TACI, saying, “We will be participating in five international exhibitions this year with the aim of tackling Iranphobia.”
He noted that the other goal of participating in overseas trade fairs is to attract tourists interested in traveling to Iran, and to visit the country’s ancient history in person.
By observing the beauty of this land and the extent of civilization, he added, they will understand the harmony, synergy and national unity of Iran, and will closely observe the development, progress and prosperity achieved within the country.
He called for an important presence, especially at events at global fairs, as a way to showcase Iran.
The Sufis recall that Iran attended several international trade fairs overseas last year, adding:
Currently, the most important mission and goals of TACI are to translate and convert domestic driver’s licenses into international driver’s licenses, provide transportation, issue Carnet de Passage (customer licenses) and international referral cards, issue international referral cards, international tourism, and automotive organization membership, establish Iran’s tourism information, establish national associations and national associations and associations. Expand vehicle support services to develop and implement recreation, tourism, culture, arts, sports centres, education and research programs, establish scientific and applied training and research centres in line with the goals of the tourism industry, establish and expand vehicle support services to support urban roads and road vehicles, and to expand tourism infrastructure to launch CATIS accommodation and other outage lodging and other outage lodging. Regarding the number of tourists who entered the country by car or motorcycle during the last year, he said, unfortunately this information is not available to TACI and only the tourism department or the Islamic Customs Agency (IRICA) are aware of the statistics.
He added that TACI is solely responsible for issuing transit plates, international driver’s licenses and books of vehicle ownership. “Information on the number of tourists entering the country by car is available at the country’s customs offices, border terminals and tourism sector. Therefore, the Centre does not have statistics on the number of cars entering the country and leaving Iran.”
TACI is the only authorities in Iran that issue vehicle registration certificates and vehicle registration number plates. They are issued in accordance with the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic.
