Kazem Jalali made an announcement at the 5th Iran-Russia Media Cooperation Conference.
He emphasized that stronger media cooperation between the two countries paves the way for strengthening bilateral relations.
“We must turn to building general support for our national relations, and media cooperation is essential in this regard,” Jalali said.
He mentioned the decisions of both countries’ leaders to raise relations to a strategic level through the signing of a comprehensive treaty.
He emphasized the importance of elite support for this path, and highlighted the role of the media in fully realizing the possibilities of cooperation.
Jalali noted that Tehran and Moscow are currently pursuing major projects, including the international north-south transport corridor and the relocation of Russian gas to Iran.
He said the implementation of a free trade agreement between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union, which eliminates tariffs on around 90% of goods, would significantly increase trade volumes.
“These developments represent a promising future for Iran-Russia relations,” Jalali added.
