TEHRAN – Iran University of Medical Sciences and Islamic University College of Ghana jointly hosted a two-day clinical workshop on “Pediatric Critical Care Nursing” in Ghana.
The workshop was held in Accra, Ghana, from November 13 to 14 in collaboration with the Preoperative Critical Care Nursing Association, according to the Ministry of Health’s website.
The workshop, which is accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), was attended by over 60 nurses and nominated doctors.
This two-day course, designed to improve the professional skills of nurses in pediatric intensive care, is a major step forward in strengthening Ghana’s nursing workforce by providing efficient training in emergency assessment and life-saving interventions, hands-on simulation, real-life hospital scenarios, advanced monitoring and pediatric equipment.
Participants will be given a certificate issued by Iran University of Medical Sciences and Islamic University College.
The holding of the international workshop is considered a milestone in the development of scientific and educational cooperation between Iran and Ghana. It will have a significant impact on improving childcare standards in Ghana’s health system.
