The table tennis competition of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games ended with Iran winning a total of five medals: two gold, one silver, and two bronze. This year’s event expanded the doubles competition and updated regulations, creating a different competitive environment than previous tournaments.
Amid these changes, Iranian female athletes emerged as a dominant force, contributing to both the majority and highest quality of medals. While the men’s team advanced to the semi-finals on the third day and ensured Iran’s place on the podium, it was the women’s team that claimed the country’s first and final medal of the tournament.

The Iranian women’s national team won its first medal, a tied bronze medal, after playing against Türkiye. The final medal of the tournament was also brought by women, with Neda Shasavari winning the gold medal in singles. Earlier the same day, she and her teammates won the doubles final, giving Iran a “golden finish” to its campaign.
