Tehran – The session was held at the Yazd Chamber of Commerce on May 11 with the Romanian Ambassador of Iran’s Milera Calmengreco, promoting cooperation in the tourism sector and strengthening cultural ties.
The Romanian ambassador highly praised the unique cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of Yazd Province, CHTN reported.
She spoke about the cultural and historical similarities between Yazd and several Romanian cities.
She said that Yazd’s special features can attract the attention of European countries, especially Romania.
Also, Director of the Yazd Cultural Heritage Bureau, Mohammad Rostegali, introduced the state’s capabilities in the cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts department.
Furthermore, the active presence of the Iranian embassy in the 51st edition of the Romanian Tourism Fair was highly praised.
Winding lanes, Budgill Forest (windcatchers), mud brick homes, atmospheric alleys, and centuries of history, Yazd is a fun place to stay, calling it a destination that almost every travel companion in the area “don’t miss.”
The state also has an interesting combination of people, with about 10% of them following the ancient Zoroastrian religion.
The city of Yazd is sandwiched between Dashtoekavir in the north and Dashtoerat in the south, on a flat plain where mountains ring. Its historical structure enjoys the architecture of highly harmonious public religions of various eras.
