“As part of the ongoing high-level contact between Iran and Russia, Dr. Aragut will travel to Moscow tomorrow for consultations with senior Russian officials,” Iranian Ambassador Kazem Jalali said on Wednesday.
“Moving bilateral relations, regional cooperation and international engagement are key items on the agenda of this visit,” according to a senior Iranian diplomat.
“In the midst of important global developments, close, continuous and trust-based communication between Iran and Russian officials serves the interests of both countries and contributes to regional and international peace and stability,” Jalali added.
On Wednesday morning, Aragut told reporters on the sidelines of the Cabinet meeting that the purpose of the trip to Russia was to convey the leader’s written message to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
