TEHRAN – Iran’s Attorney General Golamassein Moseni Ejay has called on prosecutors and judicial officers to accelerate the treatment of individuals involved in which individuals accused of working with the Zionist regime are involved, and to emphasize that such elements undermines the safety of Iranian people.
During the session of the Supreme Council of Justice on Monday, Mosenier Ejay congratulated the Muslim community on the arrival of Rabbi Al Awal on the moon and the approach of the blessed birth anniversary of Prophets Muhammad (pbuh) and Imam Jafar Al Sadiq (AS). He urged Muslims around the world to make the most of these sacred days to strengthen unity, and emphasized that within Iran, strengthening the unity of the state led by the leaders of the Islamic Revolution would further disappoint the enemy.
“Prosecutors and other judicial authorities must act decisively and completely diligently in pursuit of cases against those working with the Zionist regime,” Mosenier Ejay said, warning that delays or hesitation in this task could lead to public disillusionment. He also emphasized the need for an inclusive and determined battle against all forms of corruption, saying that this stagnation of efforts would erode public trust.
The statement goes against the backdrop of the war that broke out on June 13, when the Israeli regime attacked Iran by storming several civilian, military and nuclear facilities. Early on, Zionist groups assassinated many Iranian military leaders and nuclear scientists. In response, Iran began a true promise III. This is a major retaliation operation, including a wave of drones and missiles that have caused great damage to Israeli settlements and military sites.
On June 22, the US attacked three Iranian nuclear facilities to ease pressure on Israel, urging Iran to retaliate against U.S. bases in Qatar with 11 missiles. By June 24th, after heavy losses, both Washington and Tel Aviv were forced to demand a halt of hostilities.
Since then, Iran has stepped up its crackdown on its Zionist-related networks in the country, adding that such measures are important for national security. However, Western media sought to portray the campaign as a move against opposing voices. This is an allegation firmly rejected by Iranian officials.
