Brigadier General Reza Talay Nik, spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, highlighted the defensive, operational and logistical preparation of Iranian military forces has improved significantly compared to the recent 12-day pre-war period.
At a Saturday ceremony in Sanandazi, the capital of Kordestan province, Brigadier General Talenik said: “During the 12-day war, our military sector suffered certain damage.
He added that “60% of the weapons, equipment and munitions used by the military are currently produced by private sector and knowledge-based companies.”
He further stated, “Today, Iran is one of the top ten countries in the world in terms of missile capabilities, indicating independence from foreign sources for its weapons.”
Taleinik stressed that the Zionist enemy’s goal of attacking Iran is to weaken the country, force it to surrender and ultimately overthrow the Islamic Republic. “But this goal has not been achieved and they have been calculated again.”
On June 13, Israel launched a blatant, unprovoked attack on Iran, triggering a 12-day war that killed at least 1,064 people across the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists and ordinary civilians.
The United States also took part in the war by bombing three nuclear sites in Iran with a serious violation of international law.
In response, Iranian forces targeted strategic sites across the occupying regions and Aldeid Air Force Base in Qatar, the largest US military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran managed to stop the terrorist invasion through successful retaliation operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States.
