At that time, farmed caviar products were exported from Iran to countries such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, and Belgium, Karamilad added.
He further said that last year (up to March 20, 2024), 4.784 tons of farmed caviar were exported from the country abroad.
Mr. Karamilad estimated the number of units designated as farmed caviar in the country during the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to September 21, 2024) to be 304.
He added that Gilan, Mazandaran and Fars provinces are among the leading provinces in the country in the production of farmed caviar.
