At a meeting with the senior vice minister of foreign affairs minister of Japan who traveled to Iran to participate in talks between Iran and the Vice Minister of Japan on the 33rd, Iran’s top diplomats emphasized that Iran welcomed strengthening consultations with Japan.
Referring to the long history of friendly relations between the two countries, Araguchi highlighted the need to further expand relations between the two countries in all areas, particularly economic and trade areas.
He also welcomed the strengthening of consultations with Japan on regional and international issues.
On his part, Japan’s Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out a long history of friendly relations between Iran and Japan, underscored the importance of continued consultations, developed bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and international issues.
Earlier on Tuesday, Araguchi political agents Majid Takuto Ravanchi and Nishino Yuko discussed issues of bilateral relations and mutual interest.
At the conference, the two sides also exchanged honest views on Iran’s nuclear issue, regional issues, bilateral relations between Japan and Iran, and other issues.
Referring to the importance and long history of the mechanisms of the Iran-Japan Conference Council, Takht-Ravanchi highlighted Iran’s preparation to strengthen bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest, including the fields of economic, scientific, technical and cultural people.
Hiroyuki welcomed the recent consultations between the US and Iran, emphasizing the importance of progress in dialogue and further cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), saying it is essential for Iran to take constructive and concrete action to advance towards a peaceful resolution of the nuclear issue.
