Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araguchi arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday and attended the BRICS summit. There, leaders of major emerging economies gather to discuss world trade, financial reform and geopolitical cooperation.
The Foreign Minister posted a message to his X account when he arrived in Brazil and expressed his gratitude to the leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei, who attended a mourning ceremony at Ashura Knight last night, making his first appearance since the start of Israel’s US war. The leader commanded the Iranian army during a retaliation operation against the invaders in the 12-day war. He appeared on state television three times in video messages dealing with the nation.
The integrated nations, which account for about half the world’s population and 40% of global economic production, are expected to condemn President Donald Trump’s “indiscriminate” trade tariffs, saying they are illegal and risk damaging the global economy. According to the draft summit statement obtained by AFP, it is set to consolidate “serious concerns” about US import duties.
