TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi expanded his celebrations to Armenia during the country’s Independence Day and national celebrations.
In a message addressed to Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Monday, Aragut highlighted the longstanding relationship between the two neighbors, highlighting that Iran and Armenia share “deep-rooted historical and civilized ties” that provide a solid foundation for expanding cooperation.
He expressed his satisfaction with the progress in bilateral relations and noted that Tehran and Yerevan maintain active cooperation not only in their direct relationships but also in regional and international platforms.
Iran’s foreign minister expressed confidence that the decisions and foresight of the leaders of both countries will deepen the bilateral connections. He emphasized that strengthening cooperation will serve the common interests of both countries while also contributing to peace and stability in the wider region.
Iran and Armenia, which share land borders, have expanded their involvement in political, economic and cultural fields in recent years. Both countries have consistently emphasized their commitment to dialogue and cooperation as a means to strengthen regional security and development.
