At a weekly press conference in Islamabad, he pointed to his country’s efforts to mediate between Tehran and Washington, highlighting that Iran’s Islamic Republic is an important neighbour and a fundamental factor in perpetuating peace and stability in the region.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Shafkat Ali Khan said Pakistan’s position on Israel was “principles and clear” and that Islamabad never recognizes the Israeli regime, pointing to the escalation of the Zionist regime’s attack on Gazan.
Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian arrived in Lahore, the capital of Punjab’s capital, Lahore, on Saturday, August 2nd, in the first war of his official visit to Pakistan.
In particular, in light of recent military tensions in the region, the ongoing calls between Iranian President Masuud Pezeshkian and Pakistan Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif over the past few months have shown the serious will of both sides to deepen cooperation.
