Asadollah Teymuri Yansari, acting director of the Mazandaran provincial agriculture department, said that on November 29, 616 kiwifruits (weighing 12,939 tonnes) were exported from the province, of which 246 went to India and the rest to other countries.
He further said that 393 times of mandarin oranges (weighing 7,827 tons) and 440 times of oranges (weighing 8,931 tons) were also exported to the international market during this period.
The official emphasized the strategic role of non-oil commodity exports and pointed out that this huge amount of exports indicates the realization of the resistance economic policy.
He added that expanding exports not only increases production and farmers’ income, but also plays an important role in creating sustainable employment in various sectors.
